Etsy Wholesale has repeatedly made a splash at the NY NOW® trade show. The market for home and lifestyle draws 35,000 attendees from 50 states and 80+ countries. At the official Etsy Wholesale launch in 2014, 15,000+ people came through the Etsy Wholesale Pavilion, our dedicated exhibition space at the show.
24 Etsy Wholesale designers representing the home & lifestyle category were featured at the Pavilion. We supported these designers and 90+ independently exhibiting Etsy Wholesale designers with printed and digital marketing materials: the Etsy Wholesale lookbook (made with 100% post-consumer recycled paper), booth signage, order forms, artist cards, lanyard tags, and dedicated emails and blog posts.
The 1900 square foot Pavilion was designed in collaboration with Workshop. The booth design allowed the featured sellers to express their respective brands and creatively display their products. The Pavilion also featured a lounge where retail buyers could learn more about the platform, apply to be a buyer, and relax. “Etsy Wholesale” was spelled out in brightly-colored orange pegs on a title wall, announcing our presence at the show.
The launch at NY NOW® demonstrated the value of a wholesale marketplace on Etsy; helped Etsy Wholesale reach new, qualified retail buyers; and positioned us as the online wholesale marketplace to discover emerging home and lifestyle designers.
I worked on this project during my stint as a freelance designer with Etsy’s global brand team under the creative direction of Lyanne Dubon and Samuel Sherman.
