This is an approximately 60 page, interactive booklet that takes the reader through one of four paths, based on established archetypes of those who gentrify in Berlin, in order to “complete gentrification.” This is demonstrated through illustration/photography and carefully written text. It is meant to be a handheld object produced and distributed in mass. The booklet is printed in black and white and assembled by hand to mimic the way that ephemeral materials are printed quickly and cheaply in order to be distributed. The imagery consists of illustrations mixed with photographic elements that result in quirky, international style pictograms that convey the ideas of gentrification.
Go Forth & Gentrify has been designed and sardonically written in English to be distributed in Berlin.
