As an art director with the creative team at Square, we provided creative strategy and visual direction for Square Unboxed — the first in-person forum in years for Square’s developer and partner audiences.

I art directed and co-designed a variety of experiential deliverables to welcome 200 of our most important tech clients and agency leadership figures for a day in the Square Oakland office for programming, swag, workshops, and a closing party. We wanted Unboxed to feel celebratory, diligent, and forward facing—highlighting Square’s brand, product announcements and dedication to a future of utilizing AI technologies within the ecosystem. Our team was tasked to produce the whole event including art direction, digital and physical experiential elements, environmental and presentation visual systems and more for a fraction of the budget from previous years. Despite financial constraint, we produced an incredible experience that made our partners feel welcomed and engaged.
